Event Lighting: Worth $10,000.00?

While checking out Yahoo.com today, Fallan came across an article discussing the latest wedding trend: Event Lighting. Here at Fantasy Sound Event Services, we are certainly advocates of Event Lighting, I mean it’s one of our main services! However, it got us thinking…how many brides are trying to fit lighting into their wedding budget? Chelsea Clinton may have spent $10,000.00 on her wedding for lighting, but fear not! You can achieve a beautiful look for a fraction of the cost. Like Bently Meeker, Chelsea’s lighting designer, said in the article: “It’s not illumination for visibility; it’s illumination for atmosphere”. Here at FSES, our lighting designers can fit any budget, starting from $1000.00 and moving up. If you think $1000.00 won’t get you a lot of lighting, you are wrong! Many of our weddings are right around that mark, and they always turn our beautifully. Check out some of the pictures to see for yourself what a difference lighting makes in a wedding.

Karmen and Calvin’s Wedding at Casa Real

Karmen Li and Calvin Lu were married on Saturday, January 8th in a beautiful ceremony at Casa Real at the Ruby Hill Winery. They exchanged vows in the Amber Room, and it was truly an elegant sight to behold. Carl of Delford West Flowers and Gifts provided the bride’s beautiful bouquet and all of the floral arrangements. Amanda, of Chasing Glimpses was able to photograph some spectacular images throughout the evening. Our wonderful videographers, Fallan and Jillian, were there as well to capture all the unforgettable moments from the evening.
The reception was held in the Grand Salon, and although the day was cloudy and wintry, the color palette of green and yellow really helped to brighten the atmosphere inside. Our very own Gaby Weiman served as the DJ and MC for the reception, and she made sure to get everybody on the dance floor. Karmen and Calvin shared their first dance as a couple to “You and Me” by Lifehouse. It was a simply choreographed waltz, but absolutely breathtaking to watch. Karmen and her Father shared a dance to “Greased Lightning”. The Father of the Bride was wearing a tuxedo t-shirt, and you could tell that the two of them were having an absolute blast cutting a rug together! Before long, the entire bridal party joined in and they all finished the dance together. It was a really neat moment!

Exciting News at Fantasy Sound Event Services

Big news! Fantasy Sound Event Services is excited to announce that we have been chosen as one of three exclusive lighting vendors for two venues with whom we’ve had a longtime working relationship: the Palm Event Center in the Vineyard and Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery. We’d also like to congratulate Enhanced Lighting and Hartmann Studios for being chosen as exclusive lighting vendors, as well. We feel fortunate to be able to continue our relationship with the amazing staffs at both the Palm Event Center and Casa Real. Our history with both sites goes way back, and we are excited to see what the future will bring. Here are just a few lighting photos from our archives. Enjoy!

Jeff and Sera’s Wedding at Casa Real at the Ruby Hill Winery

On behalf of Fantasy Sound Event Services, I would love to thank Jeff and Sera Park for letting us be a part of their incredibly special day.
I was their DJ for their wedding at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery. Our company provided the Event Lighting, which showcased the flowers of Floral Design Studio. Harpist, Krista Strader started the night off with her beautiful melodies during the ceremony.
Jeff and Sera chose Tyler Vu Photography to capture their day, and, as you can see from these pictures, they surely will not be disappointed. One aspect of this wedding that was so unique was that, post-ceremony, Jeff and Sera turned the Amber Room into a children’s wedding wonderland. Movies played on a projector rented from Fantasy Sound Event Services and a mini golf course and carnival games, rented from Pleasanton Rentals, helped the staff of Casa Real create a special place for the children to celebrate.
The day was full of so many unique and incredible touches, from the gorgeous cake and cupcakes from Margaret’s French Bakery to the traditional Korean outfits the couple changed into during the reception; this was truly a day to remember.
Thank you, Jeff and Sera, for coming to us with your dreams, and working with us to turn them into reality! Congratulations and best wishes from all of us at Fantasy Sound Event Services [but especially Kevin and myself : )]!

Tri-Valley CVB’s “Destination Showcase” at Casa Real at the Ruby Hill Winery

Fantasy Sound Event Services is pleased to announce that they will be exhibiting the Tri-Valley Convention and Visitor’s Bureau “Destination Showcase.” Not only will Fantasy Sound be participating as a exhibitor but we will also be a sponsor of the event, as well as providing Event Light and Disc Jockey for the event.The Showcase is being held January 20, 2010 at Casa Real at the Ruby Hill Winery.

Rachel and Shane’s Wedding at Casa Real

Fantasy Sound Event Services would like to thank Rachel and Shane for allowing us to be a part of their special day. It was our pleasure to provide not only DJ Entertainment but also Event Lighting for their wedding at Casa Real at the Ruby Hill Winery. We would also like to thank the fantastic vendors who also helped to make Rachel and Shane’s dream a reality. Guests were surrounded by vibrant flower arrangements created by Nicole Ha. After a night of dancing the guests were able to recharge on delicious cake prepared by Jen’s Cake. Our thanks also goes out to Jennifer Skog from Jennifer Skog Photography who not only captured these incredible moments but also provided us with these photos.
When we receive thank you notes, like the one below from Rachel and Shane, it makes us feel that all the hard work we put into our event is truly appreciated.
