Scott’s Catering has been the preferred caterer of The Blackhawk Museum for many years, but now will also represent the Blackhawk Auto Museum for booking the facility.  Now your event can be taken care of with one phone call!  During the tour, of course I saw some amazing automobiles (like a car that was used in President Kennedy’s motorcade), but I also discovered a room that I never knew was there: The Executive Room.  The Executive Room is a unique and versatile room. It is on the second floor of the museum and overlooks the lower gallery of the museum.  The Executive Room is a perfect place to have a small wedding, birthday party, or host a VIP reception.  Lunch was delicious.  We started with a spinach salad and the main course was a dual entrée of parmesan crusted breast of chicken and the best herb crusted halibut I have ever tasted!

Recently, Carole Wigren from the Crooked Vine and Stony Ridge Winery in Livermore, California, gave me a tour of their completely renovated event space.  They have done an amazing job with their renovation and Crooked Vine and Stony Ridge Winery would be a great place to have a wedding or special event.  Their barrel room, with large hand carved oak barrels, is perfect for a candlelit dinner and dancing, and can accommodate up to 75 people.  Their Garden Terrace offers a lovely lawn wedding site with gazebo, as well as a lighted patio for outdoor dining and dancing for up to 200 people.  Although they do not cater their events, you can choose from 7 of their preferred caterers and they provide all of their award winning wines.  We are also one of their preferred vendors for DJ, Videography, Equipment Rentals, and Event Lighting.  I am really looking forward to working at the Crooked Vine and Stony Ridge Winery in the future.  For more information about Crooked Vine and Stony Ridge Winery, please contact Carole Wigren at 925-449-0458 or visit their website at www.crookedvine.com
