This is a part of our Creative Partner Spotlight: Quarantine Edition series, where we show you what our creative partners from all around the Bay Area have been up to during quarantine. Today, we’re checking in with Joie Thongsavath of Simple Joie Photography!
What has been your favorite part about quarantine? Being able to connect with people I have not been able to because of “work”.
What has been your least favorite part about quarantine? Not being able to take long drives to no where.
How have you been spending your time? Working on submissions to publications, backend website things, and creating content!
What are your favorite local restaurants to order take out from? New York Pizza in Pleasanton. Yum!
What have you been binge watching? Locke and Key
What are you looking forward to most when all of this is over? Shooting weddings again (or shooting anything for that matter!)
Have you celebrated a birthday or event during quarantine? How did you do it? My husband turned 40 and we baked him a cake.
Have you learned any new skills during quarantine? I learned to sew!
Is there anything else you’d like to add? It’s weird to observe the community slowing down but oddly satisfying to know that pollution has gone down.
