We get it – it’s the biggest day of your life! You’re feeling every emotion in the book and, trust us, that’s completely normal. However, there’s no need to let emotions get in the way of your celebration, so take the measures to prepare yourself for your wedding day and enjoy it!
Get a Good Night’s Sleep
Ensuring a smooth wedding day starts the night before. Although nerves may keep you up a bit, it’s imperative to get some shut-eye the night prior to your wedding. That’s right, shut off your phone and put down the planning book. You won’t want to walk down the aisle with under-eye bags and a headache!

Prepare an Emergency Kit
Grab a bag and pack it with literally everything you think you might need for the wedding day. Aspirin? Check. Eye drops? Check. Needle and thread? Check. Safety pins? Check. Having a contingency plan that covers any kind of mishap will be a comfort – and hopefully, you won’t have to use it!

Have a Day-of Coordinator
Whether you hire a professional or simply ask your mother to take the reins, let someone else handle all of the last-minute coordination. Allow your maid of honor answer your phone calls and take a break from stress. The only thing you should be thinking about is how wonderful it will be to finally walk down the aisle to your one and only!
Remember Why You’re There
Let’s be real for a second. Sometimes things go wrong. We’re not saying that to scare you – rather, to prepare you. Mistakes can be fixed and, oftentimes, go completely unnoticed by guests. A forgotten box of decor or missing a place setting is not the end of the world! Let your planner figure it out and remember that, at the end of the day, you’ll be married to your best friend and that’s all that matters.
