This is a part of our Creative Collaboration series, where we introduce you to our creative partners from all around the Bay Area. Today, we’re introducing you to Danelle Ramos from Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort and Spa!

This sprawling oasis you see above is the wonderful Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort and Spa! The property’s coordinator, Danelle Ramos, shares a bit about the gorgeous space:

“We are a unique destination in the Livermore Valley Wine Country with our ten, quaint guest rooms, relaxing day spa, and beautiful wedding venue. Our Olive Branch Event Center accommodates up to 150 seated guests indoors, while our Orchard area accommodates up to 250 guests outside. Our 24-acre Olive Orchard lends a breathtaking backdrop to our Rose Garden, which is the ideal area to exchange your vows.”

When it comes to coordinating weddings, Danelle loves getting to know the couple and their families. Since Purple Orchid is a full-service resort with accommodations and Danelle is the sole coordinator, she takes pride in getting to know her clients on a more personal level. This not only allows everyone to be comfortable with one another, but she gets a better idea of how to give her couples the night of their dreams.

That’s not to say that some things go wrong. Luckily, with a good team, most problems can be fixed! Danelle recalls a wedding day when the power went out at 7 in the morning and the power company told them it wouldn’t be back on until 8pm. Yikes! Since the venue is on a well, the water goes out when the power goes out – not a good situation for a wedding. However, the dedicated, hard-working team at Purple Orchid rallied a bunch of power generators at the last minute, gathered deluxe portable restrooms, and tended to all of the needs of the couples. Situation resolved!

One tip from Danelle? “Do not skimp on service! Don’t get a cheap DJ, use an officiant, and ensure your catering SERVICE is just as good as the food. Your wedding day will go smoothly!”
