Say hello to Michelle Peters! Michelle is the marketing director at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery, a wedding venue located in gorgeous Livermore Valley Wine Country. Reminiscent of a Mediterranean Villa, the property has handcrafted wooden doors, intricately tiled floors, beautiful chandeliers, and elegant limestone carved accents. Perfect for weddings of all sizes, the venue boasts an outdoor garden, intimate ceremony room and an expansive ballroom with scenic views of the vineyards. Award-winning coursed menus, full bar service, and experienced, meticulous wedding coordinators and staff are also highlights of the venue.

Although Michelle received her undergraduate degree in art, it wasn’t until she was writing her thesis for her Master’s at Harvard that she realized marketing was where she belonged. After reaching out to the then-new Casa Real, she just knew that it was the right fit for her – she loved the ability to use her marketing skills to provide such a positive thing for peoples’ lives.

If given some time away from her busy life, you’d most likely find Michelle reading a book on a faraway beach in Hawai’i or hiking through one of the islands’ tropical rainforests.

Michelle shares a few tips for couples who are in the throes of planning their wedding:

Really take the time to talk to your vendors and decide if their personalities and creative styles are the right fit for you and the other vendors you’ve hired.

You will most likely have a year or more talking to your wedding vendors and they can either be a source of stress or solace. Choose vendors who have the kind of energy you want on your wedding day, have examples of the gorgeous work they have done, and will help you stay on track in planning your wedding. On your wedding day, most of the vendors you hire will have to work together as a team. Try to choose ones that have worked together in the past so that they are already familiar with each other. To create that ideal team, try to ask every vendor you fall in love with for referrals of other vendors they have worked with and listen to their feedback.

Also, try to follow your vendors on social media. Most will post examples of weddings they have done recently and you can gleam fabulous ideas from them.

Thank you for joining us today, Michelle!
