Shoutout to our fellow adventurers! As we approach warmer weather, we look forward to the festivities in for a wonderful summer in the Tri-Valley area. Our region is known for its beautiful scenery and wineries, but we also have plenty of entertaining events for tourists. So whether you’re tying the knot or vacationing with your family, we invite you to experience Livermore to the fullest.

1. 2024 Downtown Street Festival

Every year, visitors and locals flock to the heart of Livermore for the Downtown Street Festival. This annual event is a long-standing tradition, and features live music, beer and wine tasting, crafts, boutiques, and unique vendors. 

Take your time and explore the market. With a full day ahead of you and temperatures in the mid-70s, we recommend staying hydrated and wearing comfortable shoes. Mark your calendars for May 18th- 19th, and consider purchasing tickets today. 

2. Shakespeare in the Vine

If you love live performances, check out Shakespeare in the Vine. From July 5th-28th, the SPARC theater will host ten performances of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.” Watch the classic story unfold on stage while soaking in Tri-Valley views.

Shakespeare in the Vine has two family night shows with discounts for children under 17. There will also be games and snacks available at the show. Review the following tips for an enjoyable experience:

  • Purchase your tickets in advance
  • Put your phone on silent mode
  • Arrive early for parking and restroom breaks 
  • Follow the theater’s guidelines

3. Livermore Rodeo

Since 1918, the Livermore Rodeo has captivated audiences with action-packed demonstrations. With a classic Western atmosphere, this annual event has deep historical roots in the Livermore community. 

Visitors can expect street wrestling, barrel racing, bareback riding, team roping, and bull riding. The annual rodeo is on June 8th-9th at the Livermore Valley Stadium. Get a taste of the world’s fastest rodeo and celebrate 106 years of tradition with your family. 

4. Livermore Farmers’ Market 

One of the best ways to get to know a community is through the local market scene. Explore the Livermore Farmers’ Market, which features locally sourced produce, farm-to-table spreads, gourmet street foods, plants, wineries, and more. 

Livermore has two options to explore:

  • Downtown Livermore: Every Sunday, year-round  
  • Carnegie Park: Every Thursday, April 11th-October 10th, from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm  

Stop by and grab some goodies for a picnic or get to know the local vendors!

5. Livermore Wine Trolley Tours

The Livermore Valley has a diverse range of wineries in the area. If you’re planning a weekend itinerary with friends, add Livermore Wine Trolley Tours to your list.

A vintage trolley traveling through one of California’s oldest wine regions is the perfect setup for an unforgettable experience. The best part? You can customize your excursion. In addition to private charters, guests can select from a list of wine tour options:

6. Livermore Valley Craft Beer Festival

Join the 8th anniversary of the Livermore Valley Craft Beer Festival, a celebration of delicious flavors and live music. Explore 40+ Northern California breweries, such as Danville Brewing Co., Dust Bowl Brewing Company, Ghost Town Brewing, and more.

You can also sample the local cuisine while listening to five live bands in genres ranging from reggae to funk to country. This Livermore experience is on May 11th, from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm at Las Positas College.
