Casa Real Events Wedding | Lin + Peter

Today, we’re providing a glimpse into a gorgeous Casa Real wedding that executed a perfect balance of classic and modern elements. Lin and Peter’s special day was a magical culmination of their wedding vision, and we can’t wait for you to see it!

Surrounded by picturesque views, the couple shared a sweet moment as they looked into each other’s eyes. The mountains and green trees created a lovely backdrop for the vineyard shot.

Lin and Peter posed next to their bridesmaids and groomsmen in front of Casa Real’s Romanesque entrance. The cool tones of the bridesmaids’ dresses made an excellent contrast to the warm and natural stone exterior.

The couple also had their moment to shine as they stood in front of the arched-cedar doors. The earthy colors of the corridor provided a great background for this shot.

As we moved to the ceremony, the outdoor patio provided a cobblestone aisle lined with white and pastel bouquets, leading to a breathtaking floral arch.

The couple shared their vows as the statement arch tied the light florals together and beautifully complemented the greenery overhead. In addition, the sheer white curtains in the background brought a soft texture to the gorgeous scenery.

The sweetheart table was stunning, surrounded by pink and white roses and airy curtains. We loved the blush tablecloth with the personal message and the cursive neon sign, which brought a modern touch to a classic scene!

Although the sweetheart table was centerstage, the guests’ tables came complete with these cute and simplistic signages. What a charming glimpse into Lin and Peter’s relationship!

Take a look at this beautiful scene. Casa Real’s reception hall looked unreal – no pun intended! We were mesmerized by the combo of our dazzling crystal-beaded chandelier and custom monogram with the expert floral arrangements.

The couple’s first dance beneath the twinkling lights was lovely. As they swayed to their song, it was clear that their day was as perfect as they imagined. Every detail made the moment more magical!

Then the party began! The dragon dance show was spectacular and left guests in awe.

Join us in congratulating Lin and Peter. Here’s a toast to the next chapter of your lives!

What an extraordinary celebration! We want to shout out our creative partners, who brought this magical day to life.

holiday party tips

7 Tips for Planning the Perfect Holiday Party

The holiday season is officially here, and it’s time to kickstart your event plans. Are you thinking of hosting a winter wonderland, a classic spin on Santa’s workshop, or the Grinch’s lair? Before you dive into the décor, venues, and catering, review these seven essential tips to ensure you plan a successful holiday party that blows everyone away and takes your celebration to the next level.

holiday party tips

Photography: Eli Zaturanski

Send invites ahead of time

The holidays are a busy time for family traditions and travels. As a result, everyone’s calendars will fill up quickly. So if you’re planning a holiday event, send your invites early. A prompt invitation will give guests enough opportunity to include your occasion in their holiday plans and ensure you have a fuller party.

Not a fan of the traditional mail route? Opt to send online invites to save time and costs. Also, an RSVP option will give you an estimated headcount to plan accordingly for catering and venue details.

Create a budget

As exciting as it is to book vendors immediately, consider establishing a spending plan first. When you have a budget, you will have more clarity as you reach out to planners, venues, and entertainment for your holiday needs. A budget will also ensure you don’t run overboard and stress about numbers after the event. So be smart and save yourself the hassle – you’ll thank us later!

Consider your event’s theme

Your theme can be as simple as a color scheme or holiday-inspired elements, like a song or a movie. Once you’ve decided on a theme, weave it throughout the rest of your party for a cohesive design. For example, if you’re a fan of Elf, you can transform the venue into the North Pole or New York City’s version of Christmas. You can also add custom signage to tie everything together. Your guests will certainly get a kick out of it!

Acknowledge the guest experience

What style meshes well with your guests – dancing the night away or bonding over games and activities? If you want to provide a memorable experience, you have to keep your guests in mind. Of course, you can go classic with a dance floor and DJ or rent a photo booth to build engagement and give people memories to take home with them. If you need more clarity, ask for feedback from your team or family.

Go with catering

It’s not a proper party without delicious aromas and appetizers filling the space. Rather than relying on the potluck style, consider hiring a professional caterer or food truck (you can never go wrong with a taco truck)! Bringing caterers on board will ensure you have plenty of food for everyone to enjoy and make the night a breeze.

Hire a bartender

A professional mixologist is a must if you’re throwing a holiday party, even if you’re hosting at your home or business. A bartender knows how to make every drink in the book, so they’re the perfect addition to your celebration. Sit back, relax, and let your guests sip on their favorite curated cocktails while having a great time!

Also, you can brainstorm and create a custom drink with the bartender that represents your family, business, or holiday theme. It’s a fun detail that will tickle your guests’ senses!

Get your lighting done by a pro

You’d be amazed at how decorative lighting can elevate an event. Pair your décor with event lighting to make the party even more magical. There are plenty of popular lighting designs for your special occasion. For example, custom monograms, uplights, backdrops, and gobo washes can transform a space into a wintry sight to behold. Take everyone’s breath away with a stunning design to complete your holiday event!

This year, surprise your guests with something refreshing and memorable. The holidays are the perfect opportunity to express your appreciation to your team and family, so make the most of your celebrations!

Keep reading to learn more about Casey Hahn and her role with Beets Hospitality Group!

Beets Hospitality group | Casey Hahn | Livermore weddings

Tell us a bit about your professional background. What brought you to the event industry?

I’ve been doing events since high school (which was a LONG time ago!) and went to school for Hospitality at Chico State. I’ve worked and done events for City of Pleasanton, City of Dublin, Robert Half International, and Wente Vineyards prior to finding my home at Beets Hospitality Group. I love hosting and planning parties so events were a perfect fit for me!

What do you love about your job at Beets Hospitality Group?

Mentoring event coordinators who are new to the industry as well as making each of our Brides and Grooms most important day come true!

If you could share one wedding planning tip with an engaged couple, what would you tell them?

Remember that it is only 5 hours of your life 🙂 Don’t sweat the small stuff, and know that we will take care of the small stuff for you, and ENJOY your day!

It’s always a pleasure collaborating with Casey and her team at Beets! When you work with her, you can rest assured that you’ll always be in good hands.

Kate Boyle, The Club at Ruby Hill {Creative Partner Spotlight}

We are thrilled to shine our spotlight Kate Boyle to the blog today! Kate is the Private Events Administrative Assistant at The Club at Ruby Hill, which means she’s the one keeping the trains moving for all of their onsite events.

Get to know Kate and how she supports couples at The Club at Ruby Hill!

The Club at Ruby Hill | Creative Partner Spotlight | Livermore wedding venue

Tell us a bit about your professional background. What brought you to the event industry?

I started my career at the front desk of a local hotel in San Ramon with the goal of gaining experience in the hospitality industry because that is my major in college. I really enjoyed the work, even though our only event space was a business meeting room.

I started in June with The Club at Ruby Hill working the front desk and quickly became interested in all of the detailed Event Orders. I would write down the timelines in my downtime so that I could be informed if a guest were to come ask me anything, as they often did!

After seeing how busy the wedding season has been, the leadership team welcomed me to the office to assist the Private Events Manager and the sales team with administrative tasks like processing invoices and deposits. I look forward to gaining more experience in the events business and would one day be interested in working to plan music festivals!

What do you love about your job at The Club at Ruby Hill?

I love the team atmosphere here at The Club and its inspiring to see the backstage process that goes into planning a wedding! My favorite part about The Club is the golf and social atmosphere that surrounds us which makes for a great work environment.

If you could share one wedding planning tip with an engaged couple, what would you tell them?

If I could share one wedding planning tip with an engaged couple it would be to enjoy the process! It can be easy to get overwhelmed with specific details but staying organized and starting early makes for a huge advantage. I’ve seen engaged couples create their own blog-type website dedicated to all of their details along with a specific email address that they correspond to all of their vendors that way they don’t get lost in their personal inboxes.

We’re delighted to welcome Kate to the Livermore wedding community, and we can’t wait to continue our collaboration!

4 Clever Holiday Event Décor Ideas

The holiday season is upon us! This is the perfect time to celebrate and create wonderful memories that you and your loved ones will remember fondly for years to come. If you’re planning a holiday event this time of year, make sure to bring the cheer! You can start by adding some decorative elements and embellishments to your venue to create a welcoming and festive vibe.

holiday event

Venue: Casa Real

Are you struggling to figure out how to decorate your holiday event? This blog post is perfect for you! Read on for tips and ideas to get your holiday event just right.

Wow your guests with interactive food stations

An excellent way to impress your guests is with carefully selected, interactive food stations. These can complement your traditional catering, plus you can jazz them up with thematic décor. The idea is to offer variety and interactivity by getting your guests involved as they prepare their own food or beverage.

Since the holiday season always calls for hot drinks, you can set up a bar where guests can make their own hot chocolate or peppermint coffee. And for eventgoers with a sweet tooth, you can prepare a buffet of holiday treats like sugar cookies, gingerbread biscuits, and cupcakes they can decorate before eating!

Not only do these food stations offer guests a unique and fun experience, but they also encourage them to mingle.

Adorn your holiday event space with natural elements

A few pinecones, chestnuts, berries, and sprigs of greenery can add some flair to your holiday décor. By using natural elements, you are able to set a warm and cozy mood, and we all know that this is what the holidays are all about!

Have fun with holiday event signage

The signage at your event serves various functions. They can provide information, directions, and even reminders to your guests. But don’t forget to make sure they match your theme to tie the look of your holiday event together!

Consider alluding to Santa, the holidays, Christmas, Chanukah, or winter when crafting your signage. For instance, imagine calling an interactive food station, the Elf-Service Station (Get it? Self-service)! Or, you could add a touch of humor to your decor with “better not pout” tabletop signs.

These are just a few fun ideas to get your creative juices flowing, but the possibilities are endless!

Place some hanging string lights

If you’re going for a winter wonderland feel for your holiday event, try hanging some ice blue, bright white, or warm white string lights to create the perfect ambiance. You can also opt to buy string lights with a snowflake design. With the proper lighting, you are sure to keep things merry and bright!

Regardless of how you decorate your holiday event, remember to strive for a consistent and cohesive look for your event. Choose a theme and matching color palette, then stick to them. Happy holidays!

Photo of the Week: Luxury Wedding Vibes

This week, we’re bringing you a luxury wedding fit for royalty! Leon and Mari were certainly serving king and queen vibes with their all-white design.

Between beautiful white florals, a raised ceremony platform, and our sparkling crystal beaded chandelier, we loved seeing Casa Real transformed for their sweet celebration!

Photo of the Week: Glittering Starburst Chandelier

Be still our hearts — our starburst chandelier really showed out for this sweet Indian wedding at Casa Real!

A custom monogrammed dance floor. Floor-to-ceiling taffeta drapery behind a mandap bursting with blooms. A glittering starburst chandelier to catch everyone’s eye. Lush centerpieces bursting with bold colors. These are the ingredients for a wedding dream come true!

Photo of the Week: Flawless First Dance

The first dance is a monumental moment of a wedding day, and it’s only right to have the perfect dance floor to fit it!

This beautiful couple transformed Casa Real with an elevated dance floor, crystal chandeliers, and a sweetheart lounge that is just bursting with blooms. How’s that for a perfect setting to dance away into your happily ever after?

Photo of the Week: Romantic Gobo Wash

There’s nothing like the first kiss of happily ever after — especially with our romantic scrolling leaves gobo wash for a backdrop!

Event lighting is a powerful way to create a mood and there’s no better example than this sweet ceremony design at Casa Real. If you want a wedding unlike any other, consider a gobo wash to add an extra special touch to the scene!

Photo of the Day: Sophisticated Minimalist

This beautiful minimalist design is proof that less can definitely be more! While we always appreciate a grand design bursting with blooms and other bold design elements, there is something special about a minimal design. It allows love to take center stage and create an intimate atmosphere for all to enjoy.

minimalist

We are big fans of Casa Real to begin with, so we know their space is lovely as-is. (Seriously, it’s the perfect blank slate to dress up!) But, can we take a moment to appreciate this glam minimalist vibe? Simply exquisite.

Oh, and let’s not miss that lovely white floral cake suspension staged with champagne uplighting! Color us speechless – but who needs words when you can convey meaning with a minimalist sophisticated look like this?

Between a crystal chandelier dripping overhead, luxurious white and cream lounge spaces, and chic gold candle arrangements, this sweet couple transformed the space into a romantic retreat made to celebrate their love. And, of course, there is no better way to seal the deal than with a kiss!

Cheers to customizing a space that is perfect for you and sweetheart to say “I do” and kick off your next chapter together on the right foot. Pop the bubbly!

Photo of the Day: Bountiful Elegance

Boy, do we have a photo to share with you today! This gorgeous floral arrangement encircling our 16-candle crystal chandelier exudes elegance and class, and we are HERE for it! *swoon*

With lush white and pink flowers, subtle touches of greenery, and glass + crystals dripping from all around, we think this fixture really dressed up Casa Real to the nines. Add some sweet chiffon drapery, extra greenery, and a sweetheart table bursting with blooms; sounds like a wedding day to remember, huh?

Photo of the Week: Serene Greenery

Bring on the greenery! If serenity were a picture, this is what it would look like: Two heartbeats becoming one rhythm.

greenery

This lovely couple hosted their reception at the beautiful Casa Real. Our rustic wooden beam Edison chandelier is the perfect counterpart to the delicate greenery and white florals that represent harmony and balance. Doesn’t get more serene than that, wouldn’t you say?

(Oh, and did you peep our reclaimed barn wood panel wall serving as the perfect sweetheart table backdrop?)

We all could use a little extra LOVE right now…

We hope that you and your family are staying safe, sane, and healthy during this time! And please remember to wear your mask, because we are dying to get back to doing what we LOVE!

Don’t mind us…we’re just daydreaming of the day when we can create gorgeous weddings again! This was one of our favorites from earlier this year- we had such a blast with this unique drapery design. It added such a statement and went so well with the elegant floral chandelier created by Nicole Ha Designs!
