Welcome back to our Creative Partner Spotlight! This month, we’re excited to introduce Carly Martinez, Sales & Event Coordinator at Beets Hospitality Group. Beets Hospitality Group is an event management company that operates out of two Bay Area wedding venues, Palm Event Center and Casa Real. With nearly a decade of experience at these properties, Carly has worn many hats, from server and bartender to banquet captain and now a key sales team member. Her passion for connecting with couples, collaborating with colleagues, and celebrating love shines through in everything she does.
Join us as we dive into Carly’s journey at Beets Hospitality Group, her favorite wedding moments, and her heartfelt advice for engaged couples!
Tell us a bit about your professional background. What brought you to the event industry?
I started at Beets Hospitality Group 9 years ago and fell in love with the company and our service. From there, I was able to work my way up and experience different jobs within the company, such as server, setup, bartender, banquet captain, event assist, and now I am a Sales & Event Coordinator.
What do you love about your job?
Very simply, the people. From the amazing couples that I get to work with and experience the most special day with to my fellow coworkers and our extended family of vendors!
What’s the most memorable reaction you’ve experienced from a couple leading up to their wedding day?
Being a part of the sales team, I am able to experience the joy of couples first getting into the wedding industry and the excitement of new beginnings. Seeing the sparkle in their eyes when they have selected their venue.
If you could share one wedding planning tip with an engaged couple, what would you tell them?
Cliche to say, but to remember this day is about the two of you. You are going to get so many opinions from vendors and family, and it can get overwhelming. So always make sure to check in with one another and really talk about what is most important to the two of you!
