Creative Partners

Welcome back to Fantasy Sound’s Creative Partner Spotlight! This month, we are shining the spotlight on one of our own, Lindsay Fogarty. October 2025 marks 15 amazing years since she joined the Fantasy Sound family!

Over the years, she has worn many hats, assisted with countless weddings, and helped shape the company that we are today. We couldn’t let this milestone pass without showing Lindsay some love! We sat down with her and asked her a few questions about her time here. Let’s dive into her journey.

Lindsay Fogarty

How did you join the Fantasy Sound team, and what’s kept you here for 15 years?

Lindsay found her way to Fantasy Sound through a Craigslist ad! (You could say it was meant to be.) At the time, she had just returned to the Bay Area after attending college on the East Coast, and was unsure of what she wanted to do next. Lindsay had never considered a career in the wedding industry before, but knew of a few friends who worked at a local venue, who always made events sound fun and exciting.

While the intrigue of events initially drew her in, there are a myriad of reasons that have kept Lindsay here for these 15 years. She loves the flexibility, schedule, and trust that come with her role as Business Manager. She also mentioned how great the local wedding community is and how she’s developed really strong relationships with wedding pros in the Tri-Valley. Lindsay’s daily atmosphere has been amazing too, allowing her to have freedom in her work and never feeling micromanaged. Every year, she continues to feel appreciated and valued by her team and peers.

What’s one thing you’ve learned in your time here that’s shaped who you are professionally?

Lindsay shared that one of the biggest lessons she has learned during her 15 years at Fantasy Sound is the value of creating and growing interpersonal relationships. She’s discovered how important relationships are in this industry and adulthood in general. Lindsay has also learned the power and impact of teamwork. Even when something isn’t part of your job description, it goes a long way to jump in and help anyway. We should always strive to create a supportive team environment.

When you look back at where Fantasy Sound was 15 years ago, what changes stand out the most?

Lindsay said when she first started back in 2010, Fantasy Sound was not offering lighting services, which is now what we are most known for! She went on to share that Fantasy did not have a single piece of drapery in our inventory or photo booths. There used to be a videography team, too!

Beyond our services, she also noticed a big shift in how our company interacts with clients. Most things were done in person at our office, with everything printed on hard copies. What used to happen face-to-face is now digital and stored in the cloud, especially after COVID-19.

What’s been one of your proudest accomplishments during your time here?

In the Summer of 2017, Lindsay was named one of Special Events Magazine’s 25 Young Event Pros To Watch! Every year, their advisory board highlights 25 young event pros under 40 to spotlight their talents and plans. Lindsay is extremely proud of this accomplishment, and it stands as a testament to her dedication, passion, and growth throughout her career at Fantasy Sound. See her excerpt below!

What does this milestone mean to you personally?

Lindsay sees this milestone as a true testament to the strength of Fantasy Sound and its resilience in the wedding industry. She went on to emphasize that this is an industry with extremely high turnover, and to have herself stay in one place for so long is crazy! She is very proud that she has done that.

What do you love most about the people you work with?

When it comes to the people Lindsay works with, she says everyone who works at Fantasy has a really great sense of humor. She adds that everyone is always ready to drop anything to help each other in any capacity. Everyone here genuinely enjoys weddings and the industry. Lindsay feels we take the business seriously, but not ourselves too seriously.

If you could go back and give “Year 1 Lindsay” any advice, what would you say?

Trust the process. It’s really that simple.

Happy 15 years to our one and only Lindsay Fogarty! To end, we have a quote from Jessica Dennis, “Lindsay is our voice of reason and calm in the chaos. She has the patience of a saint, as evidenced by her ability to put up with Kevin for 15 years. She has become family (whether she likes it or not!) and she IS Fantasy Sound.”

No one can do what you do, Lindsay, and we love that you’re part of the Fantasy Sound fam!
